If you are anything like us here at PMC Lighting, you are probably wondering why 2019 seemed to streak by so fast. We think we know the reason: we were very busy. With a goal to bring new and reimagined products to our catalog, our year has been focused on improvement and innovation to be your go-to source for commercial lighting.
In case you missed any of our emails or blog posts this year, here is a recap of 2019.
We had several new releases in 2019 (and more planned for 2020) that round out the offerings in our more popular product families.
To start the year off, our pūr-led™ collection continued to have new components added, creating new options for lighting projects in hospitals, gyms, airports, and other public spaces. With the May 2019 release of the 6LES-LED and 6LESQ-LED we added square and round versions that offer flexible, yet uniform lighting, as well as the germ fighting power of pūr-led™.
In September we also added the SCX2196-LED to the pūr-led™ family.
In addition to our RAL color offerings, Wood Grain finishes became an option for our customers. Mimicking the look of solid wood, we offer a variety of different grains and colors, and wood finishes ranging from light bamboo to dark walnut.
Our midyear addition of the E5068 series of products to the Alumiini product family offered contemporary sizes and profiles in Suspended, Suspended Rotatable, and Wall mounted versions.
With a fresh, modern design, the S9062 Series allows for direct distribution from reflected light for a soft “indirect lighting” feel.
The RC3121 filled a void in the PMC Lighting line of perimeter lighting by providing a recessed cove product with asymmetric light output.
In the fall we introduced 2nd Generation improvements to the Nelio ES Series with the addition of the ES and ES D/I Series. We followed up with the additions of the ES44-DI and ES44-TR. Rounding out the Nelio additions in 2019, we finished with the introductions of the Nelio E7098 and the E7096.
October brought you PMC Lighting Illuminated by BIOS®. This partnership between BIOS® and PMC Lighting provides biologically optimized solutions that enable light fixtures to maintain the visual appearance specifiers and end-users want, with the biological stimulus our bodies need. BIOS SkyBlue technology can be integrated into virtually any architectural light fixture.
November saw the debut of the PMC Lighting’s new line of sound reducing luminaires – akūstik.
The akūstik series of lighting fixtures provide highly tailorable high quality LED lighting coupled with noise mitigation technology in the installed environment. Wrapped in sound deadening material, akūstik fixtures can help reduce ambient noise by absorbing sound instead of reflecting it.
Our reception area and offices received a modern touch during our renovations. In addition to creating a beautiful workspace for our employees, we also added a showroom where samples and demonstration pieces of our products are on display for our reps to view and learn.
To Come in 2020
Our commitment to offer the most attractive, build2spec lighting in the industry continues into 2020. One of the most exciting offerings that we are currently designing will bring new energy into your designed spaces. The RUNE collection will be announced in the coming months.
We thank you for being part of this year and we look forward to the next year with you. Happy New Year to you all!
